Little Book Chapter 7 Tasting Notes

Aromas/Nose:

As I bring the glass closer, I catch the scent of praline ice cream, followed by creamy vanilla, which piques my interest.

After a few more sniffs, a rich, aged aroma appears, blending with sweet floral notes.

The cool feeling in my nose might be due to the colder weather as Fall approaches.

The glass gives off a sweet promise, with strong toffee notes and hints of corn and almond butter.

As the liquid warms, floral notes and a bold spice mix become more noticeable, with mace, allspice, and vanilla bean standing out.

The last sip tastes like vanilla bean ice cream on a wafer cone, with a smooth taste.

Finish/Aftertaste:

This whiskey shows its character at the end.

You will notice a strong rye spice flavor and hints of clove, dry wood, and a bit of cigar box.

It feels more classic compared to the first taste.

There is also a gentle smokiness throughout.

As it finishes, you might catch a slight mold that sticks around.

The older flavors become more noticeable now, offering a nice contrast to the fruity notes you tasted earlier.
